Study Tips

You

Health

Family, work and study are important, but you and your health are the most important. Make time to move, eat, connect and sleep. Move your body, get out in nature, eat well, connect with others, relax and recharge.

Set Realistic Goals

Rather than just aiming to finish an assignment by the due date, consider breaking it down into smaller chunks, such as completing the mind map by X, the draft by Y, and the final version by Z – each of these dates set well before the actual submission date.

Calendar

Put your calendar on the wall to keep track of all life and study commitments and tick off your achievements as you go. It can be very satisfying to have a visual overview of all you have achieved already.

Ask For Help

Ask others for help, support and advice your Student Support Officer is there for you.

Breathe

Take a moment to breathe deeply, schedule regular breaks, and allocate specific times to concentrate on your studies. Work steadily towards accomplishing your academic goals with the plan you have set for yourself.

Be Kind

Be kind to yourself.

Study skills workshops

We offer specific study skills workshops to our Ellenbrook Study Hub students. Reach out to your Student Support Officer to find out more.

Wellbeing
